Narbonne, the old elder girl of Rome

Narbonne à été crée par la Rome antique en 118 av JC, et c’est même la plus ancienne colonie romaine en Gaule. Elle n’a pas conservé de monuments de cette époque mis à part des vestiges de la via Domicia, ancienne route Romaine, qui reliait l’Italie à l’Espagne.
Située en Languedoc Roussillon c’est la plus grande ville de l’Aude. Son centre ville est traversé par le canal de la Robine, classé au patrimoine mondial de l’Unesco, visible la 2ème photo.
Les principaux monuments, visibles sur les deux photos sont le Palais des Archevêques et la cathédrale Saint Just et Saint Pasteur.
Narbonne create by Ancient Rome in 118 av JC, and it’s the oldest Roman colony in Gaul. Narbonne did not keep monuments of this period set apart by the vestiges of it via Domicia, old route Roman, who connected Italy in Spain.
Located in Languedoc-Roussillon it is most big city of the Aude. Its city center is crossed by the canal of Robine, classified in the UNESCO world heritage, visible the 2nd photo.
