Depuis 1995 aller du Havre à Honfleur, Deauville, Cabourg peut se faire par le pont de Normandie. Pont long de plus de 2 km à haubans, construit avec du béton et de l’acier, il aura été le pont à haubans le plus long du monde quelques années avant d’être détrôné par le pont du Rion-Antirion en Grèce.

Since 1995 to go from Havre to Honfleur, Deauville, Cabourg can be made by the bridge of Normandy. Arrivée au Havre des grands voiliers, ici le Sagres de la marine Portugaise remorqué jusqu’aux quais du bassin de l’Eure et du bassin Paul Vatine qui ont été réservés pour cette manifestation unique, puisque organisée pour les 500 ans du port du Havre.

La vision verticale est souvent déroutante comme ici, sur la côte d’albâtre du coté d’Etretat vers Fécamp. Les falaises de calcaire font entre 80 et 100 m de hauteur.

The vertical vision is often puzzling as here, on the côte d’albâtre close to Etretat towards Fécamp. The cliffs of limestone make between 80 and 100 m of height.

Vu du ciel les skate parks mettent une touche colorée dans les villes souvent ternes. En période de fêtes ça doit être à peu près la même vision que doit avoir le père Noël sur son traineau volant !

Le Mont saint Michel, symbole Français connu dans le monde entier

En ce jour de deuil national, après les attentas de Paris et de Saint Denis, la nation s’est rassemblée aux invalides pour rendre hommage aux victimes. Cette photo du Mont Saint Michel prise par un temps couvert et brumeux m’a parue de circonstance.

On this day of national mourning, later of Paris and saint Denis terrosrist attack, the nation gathered in the Invalides historic monument to pay tribute to the victims. This photo of the Mont Saint-Michel taken by an overcast and foggy weather appeared to me of circumstance.

Dernière minute: un blockhaus à Quiberville plage en Seine-Maritime, est tombé du haut de la falaise, l’histoire ne dit pas si quelqu’un l’aurait pas aidé en poussant un peu…

(en fait on l’a bien aidé pour éviter qu’il ne tombe tout seul par l’érosion et ce sont les pompiers qui l’ont un peu « poussé » en 1995)

Last minute: a bunker in Quiberville beach in Seine-Maritime, fell down from the cliff, the story does not say if somebody would have helped it by pushing a little…

(In fact we helped well it to avoid that it falls alone by the erosion and it is the fire brigades which « a little pushed » it in 1995)
